generating power
through connections

Led by Andrew Newbery, founder of the £2.4 billion NeuConnect interconnector and former Managing Partner of Herbert Smith Abu Dhabi, AN67 provides expertise on the delivery of global power and infrastructure assets.

AN67 was founded in 2025 with a mission: to generate power through connections — delivering commercially robust projects in power-related infrastructure whilst addressing shared challenges, including a cleaner, affordable and more secure future for all of us. Andrew Newbery brings over three decades of experience, as set out in Andrew's LinkedIn profile.

Andrew initiated NeuConnect in mid-2015 and turned it from concept into reality by leveraging deep sector knowledge, strong business connections, and team-building expertise. Andrew was a core part of the delivery team until submission of the Initial Project Assessment in October 2016; thereafter, he stayed engaged until he and the other initial investors exited - via a share sale to TEPCO - shortly after financial close in 2022. Andrew's involvement is picked-up in the Case Study 1 links below.

The idea for NeuConnect emerged as Andrew concluded his Head of Commercial to Thames Water role on the Thames Tideway Tunnel — another landmark project whose innovative delivery model is now also seen as a precedent for financing major clean power generation assets such as new nuclear.

Two other Case Studies are included below, including a Case Study tracking Andrew's leadership at the inception of the offshore windfarm sector at the turn of the millennium.

Other projects are in development and - on a highly selective basis -  AN67 will consider advisory mandates across Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. We are, for example, currently advising on power generation and desalination assets in the Gulf.

Power is delivered through the ideas we generate and the connections we build.
